Meet Andrea Oliver, Sassafras Account Director

Say Hello to Andrea!

Sassafras Marketing is fortunate to be bursting at the seams with talent; our amazing team includes folks like Account Director Andrea Oliver, who has been with us for 7 1/2 years! As an Account Director, you can usually find Andrea with the Coca-Cola Cinema teams developing in-theatre marketing programs. Andrea calls Davidson, NC home and is one of our “Southeast” Sassy team members! We’re grateful for Andrea- we’d describe her as patient, loyal, over-the-top friendly and a terrific person!

What do you like most about working at Sassafras?

I’m very aware how truly lucky I am to work with both incredible clients and a brilliant team. I wouldn’t trade either of them for the world!

Your hometown postcard—what’s on it?

Davidson, NC – All the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and the children above average. Really.

Who is your hero and why?

My sweet Nonna, Adriana Cencia. I grew up surrounded by her love and the fine example that she set for all of us. She was the glue to our family and is so greatly missed. She would have loved to watch her Cleveland Indians make it to the World Series this year, (she never missed a game) but I even know she probably would have taken the loss much better than I did! She gracefully endured a lengthy battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease but she enjoyed most of her 84 years on this earth. She was kind and loving, funny and sassy.

What book are you reading right now?

I’m reading such a great book now!  All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr.  My more grown-up books right now are Superfudge and Dork Diaries.

Name an interesting thing about yourself that others might not know.

I cry a lot but laugh even more.

What is your favorite website or app?

I love DayOne and Google Photos. They both keep my brain in order!

Is there a particular project or work product you are most proud of?

I live and breathe the Coca-Cola Cinema Channel, and I love it! I get to work on some of the most exciting programs with Coca-Cola and the movies.

Describe your ideal Saturday.

First I have Coffee, and then I have more coffee. Lots of snuggling with my little ones.

You’re leaving town for a very, very long time…where would you dine for your last meal and what would you eat?

I’d have to go to Kindred. It’s nationally recognized as one of the best restaurants in the country and we’re fortunate to have it right in our own Davidson, NC. I’ve also never turned down a good plate of Waffle House Cheese and Eggs though!
