Meet Paige, Our Newest Account Manager

We’re already almost five months into 2020 and we haven’t finished announcing our new employees yet! We consider that a good thing and are delighted for you to meet another new Account Manager who recently joined our team. Paige comes to Sassafras from Cincinnati, OH, and has already adjusted to the Sassafras life quite well, diving into multiple projects across several clients. Learn more about Paige and help us in welcoming her to the team!

What do you like most about working at Sassafras?

The employees are so warm and easy to vibe with. I immediately felt comfortable being myself, and I certainly didn’t feel like the newbie for long!

Your hometown postcard—what’s on it?

My family has lived in Ohio, California, and Florida. So my hometown postcard might be a bit of a hodgepodge, including palm trees, oranges, Cinderella’s castle, and Skyline chili.

Who is your hero and why?

My mom. She was the driving force in moving our family across the country a couple of times. With each move, she always stressed the importance of stepping outside your comfort zone by trying new things, meeting new people, and striving to find the positive in any new situation. I’m so grateful for her setting an example on how to live life courageously and passing on wisdom that have helped navigate me through life.

What book are you reading right now?

The Myths of Happiness by Sonja Lyubomirsky

Name an interesting thing about yourself that others might not know.

When it comes to decluttering items you no longer need or want, I am a selling queen. I don’t remember how all it started, but before I knew it…I had sold three cars, TVs, lawnmowers, you name it!

What is your favorite website or app?

Probably Instagram. I love how posts can range from life updates to workouts and recipes, and even fashion/home décor inspiration. I also appreciate that it’s easy to save posts to reference later.

Is there a particular project or work product you are most proud of?

I worked on an out-of-home project for a healthcare client that involved decking out a pedestrian bridge. The bridge sits over the Ohio River and can be entered from either the Ohio or Kentucky side. The campaign had a competitive element in seeing which state was “healthier.” The creative involved a variety of banners that correlated to wellness activities that were painted on the bridge. We asked participants to tag themselves doing the activities by applying either an Ohio or Kentucky Snapchat filter. We tracked which state submitted more snaps and selected one lucky winner to receive a YMCA membership for a year.

Describe your ideal Saturday.

Rolling out of bed for an early morning spin class. Followed by some brick fire pizza and a couple IPAs at my favorite local brewery with friends and their pups.

You’re leaving town for a very, very long time…where would you dine for your last meal and what would you eat?

I would opt for a filet, mac & cheese, and a copious amount of red wine from Seasons 52.
