Meet Sassafras Art Director Trevor Barley!

It’s truly a team effort here at Sassafras Marketing, and from time to time, we like featuring one of our amazing team members in our blog.  Today, you’ll meet Trevor Barley, one of our Art Directors. Keep checking back in the future as we’ll feature each one of our team members in the blog!  Get to know the Sassafras team, one by one!

What do you like most about working at Sassafras?

Every day I get to work on incredible projects with the most amazing group of people!

Your hometown postcard—what’s on it?

Jacksonville, Florida. You can’t beat living in the sunshine state! Jacksonville Jaguars, Mayport shrimp, sun, sand and surf…oh, and a soccer ball.

Who is your hero and why?

My mom, for so many reasons. The kindest and loving person you’ll ever meet! She worked tireless hours but was always there to show her love and support.

What book are you reading right now?

Two books by Justin Halpern. I Suck at Girls and Sh*t My Dad Says. I’ve read both books a couple of times. Quick reads for some non-stop laughs.

Name an interesting thing about yourself that others might not know.

I owned a mobile detailing company with one of my best friends for almost 10 years.

What is your favorite website or app?

Uncrate.com. I visit it at least once a week to view the best of the best products available or coming out in the future. From Cool to quirky.

Is there a particular project or work product you are most proud of?

Two favorites since I started are Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Such fun to work on these projects with our team. It’s a great feeling seeing printed POS, collector cups, and popcorn bags in the movie theaters we go to and above all else, seeing my son’s face when he receives one of the items and brags to his friends that his dad designed them. There’s nothing better than knowing your son is proud of the work you do.

Describe your ideal Saturday!

Get up and head to the soccer fields to coach our son, then some shopping/wandering around the city. After that, head to the pool for the day and then back home to grill out and hang out together. Maybe a movie in front of the TV to end the night.

You’re leaving town for a very, very long time…where would you dine for your last meal and what would you eat?

TacoLu. Great local restaurant in Jax Beach with the best tacos anywhere. I would get a Bangin’ Shrimp, The Carne Royale and a Baja Fish Taco. Most likely some queso or Mexican street corn. Such a cool place!
