Sassafras Receives Three Gold MarCom Awards
You may have noticed that it’s been a while since our last blog was posted. Business has been keeping us so busy that we took a little hiatus from the blog and have been devoting 100% of our time and energy on serving our clients. It’s been a fun and exciting few months and we have a lot to catch you up on. We’ll get to all of that but for now, we’re coming out of hibernation to share a fun announcement: Sassafras recently won three Gold MarCom Awards!
What are MarCom Awards?
MarCom Awards honors excellence in marketing and communication while recognizing the creativity, hard work and generosity of industry professionals. The competition is open to all individuals, companies and organizations involved in producing any marketing and communication materials for external or internal audiences. Each year MarCom receives about 6,000 entries.
The Work We Submitted
Anyone who works in an agency knows how fast-paced every day is, especially for the creative team. Each week, the team starts and completes numerous projects but never lets anything less than stellar leave the doors. So going through hundreds of projects and trying to narrow down what to submit was no easy task. In the end, three projects boiled to the top of the list, each for different reasons.
CORPORATE BENEFITS MANUAL FOR LARGE REGIONAL BUSINESS Shamrock engaged us to design their employee manual. Each of the 15 sections was custom-designed leveraging photography, iconography and color. We developed a mood board that set the creative strategy moving forward.
STEWARDSHIP REPORT FOR A NATIONAL AIRLINE Coca-Cola enlisted Sassafras to come up with presentation materials for an upcoming Southwest renegotiation meeting. This included concepting/brainstorming around the theme of the meeting and what the presentation pieces would look like, custom illustration, and a playlist of Coca-Cola and Southwest’s greatest hits.
INTERNAL COMMUNICATION PIECES Restaurant delivery intermediaries (RDIs) are becoming more and more popular for restaurants and consumers. Coca-Cola asked Sassafras to develop internal documents that would help customer teams understand how to benefit from using an RDI.
